I had the privilege of attending the launch of the new Rocket Science album, Different Like You at The Corner on Friday August 22.

The Corner was fairly well filled. In addition to plenty of new tracks in their set Rocket Science were giving a new guitarist an airing, Mickey Heartbreak who has replaced long time guitarist Paul Maybury. I’m not sure if Mickey is a permanent replacement or if this whether Maybury will rejoin the band at some stage.

Some of the new tracks sounded pretty good but the tracks that really set the crowd alight was the old favourite Being Followed.

Supporting Rocket Science were Perth trio, Tame Impala – they are definitely a band to keep an eye out for.
