Sunday night at Crown Casino Tex Perkins & His Ladyboyz gave their treatment to a bunch of horrific songs and they did it darned well. I can categorically declare that every cover version was better than the original.

The white suits, the kitsch setting of Palms at Crown and a stellar line-up of musicians James Cruickshank (The Cruel Sea), Charlie Owen (Beasts of Bourbon, The Divinyls, Tex Don and Charlie etc), Joel Silbersher (Hoss, God), Pat Bourke (Dallas Crane) and Gus Agars (The Vandas) all added up to a great night.
