Last night I had the pleasure of attending the third annual Age EG Awards at the Prince of Wales. There were a number of music awards handed out – some of the winners were Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds taking out best album for Dig Lazarus Dig, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu took out the best male performer category, Melbourne singer Sophie Koh took out the best female and The Presets took out the best song with My People. But the night belonged to the EG Hall of Fame inductees Died Pretty who took to the stage and delivered a mind blowing set.
They were ably supported with some fine musical contributions from Little Red, Dave Faulkner, Ash Grunwald and Phil Manning, Katy Steele, Mark Seymour, Even and Lilith Lane.
